Q: What types of doors do you offer?
A: We focus on premium, made-to-order designs such as French doors, Art glass doors, and carved feature doors. Each door is crafted to combine durability with elegance.
Q: What material is used for your doors?
A: Our doors are produced using high-quality pressed (engineered) wood. This material is designed for consistency, strength, and stability, helping reduce warping compared to certain solid woods.
Q: Is pressed wood the same as solid wood?
A: Pressed wood (engineered wood) is formed by bonding layers of wood fibres or veneers under heat and pressure. It is stable, durable, and less prone to cracking or warping, particularly in humid climates. Solid wood offers natural variation but can be softer and more vulnerable to dents. We select only high-grade pressed wood that meets our standards for quality and finish.
Q: Where are your doors made?
A: Our doors are produced in specialised partner facilities, with processes carried out according to our specifications and inspections. This allows us to maintain consistency in craftsmanship while ensuring fair pricing.
Q: How long can the doors last?
A: With appropriate care and regular maintenance, pressed wood doors may last many years. Longevity depends on environment, usage, and conditions of care.
Q: Are the doors moisture-resistant?
A: Each door undergoes sealing and treatment to enhance resistance to moisture and mildew. However, as with all wooden products, it is best to minimise prolonged exposure to water.
Q: Can I view the doors before purchasing?
A: We do not operate a physical showroom. In some cases, viewings at installed locations may be arranged with homeowner consent, subject to availability.
Ordering & Payments
Q: How do I place an order?
A: Orders can be placed through our online collection by selecting the design, colour, handle, and glass options (if applicable).
Q: What happens after I place an order?
A: Order Confirmation – A confirmation email is issued with your order details.
Site Measurement – A measurement appointment is arranged before production begins.
Crafting – Production begins after specifications are finalised.
Updates – We may provide updates during the process.
Delivery & Installation – Once ready, our logistics partner will arrange delivery. Installation may also be scheduled where applicable.
Q: Do you offer custom designs?
A: Custom requests (size, finish, carving, etc.) may be possible, subject to feasibility and additional charges.
Q: What payment methods are accepted?
A: Full payment is required at the time of order. Digital payment methods are accepted.
Manufacturing & Quality
Q: How long does it take to make a door?
A: Timelines vary depending on design and specifications. All schedules provided are estimates only and may change at MBD’s discretion.
Q: How do you ensure quality control?
A: Doors undergo inspection and finishing processes before shipment. Minor variations in texture, tone, or grain are considered normal and are part of the custom manufacturing process.
Glass & Art Glass Doors
Q: What type of glass is used?
A: We use tempered glass, which is stronger than standard glass and designed for added safety and durability.
Q: What is Art Glass?
A: Art glass involves digital application of inks onto glass, which is then heat-treated at high temperatures. Each piece is unique and variations are normal.
Q: Does Art Glass provide privacy?
A: Yes. Art glass panels allow light transmission while offering visual privacy. Fully printed options are also available for complete opacity.
Delivery & Installation
Q: Do you deliver outside Singapore?
A: Delivery is currently limited to Singapore. This ensures consistent quality and handling.
Q: How does delivery work?
A: Once your order is ready, our logistics partner will contact you to confirm delivery. Customers must confirm delivery within 3 days of notice. If not, additional charges may apply or the order may be considered abandoned.
Q: Do you provide installation?
A: Yes, basic installation is included with all orders. Frame installation may incur additional charges.
Q: Do you dispose of old doors?
A: Disposal services are not included by default. Customers who require disposal may contact MBD to check availability and applicable charges.
Q: What if my door arrives damaged?
A: All crates remain sealed until opened by MBD’s appointed installer. Verified manufacturing or shipping defects will be repaired or replaced at MBD’s discretion. Minor imperfections (e.g., small surface variations, wood grain differences) are natural and not considered defects.
Returns & Warranty
Q: Can I return my door if I change my mind?
A: No. Since all doors are custom-made, returns are not accepted.
Q: Do your doors come with a warranty?
A: Yes, a limited 3-month warranty covers verified manufacturing defects and structural issues.

What’s Covered?
• Defects in materials or workmanship affecting durability.
• Structural issues or verified manufacturing errors.
What’s Not Covered?
• Normal wear, minor scratches, or aesthetic variations.
• Issues from improper or third-party installation.
• Damage caused by environment (water, humidity, heat).
• Alterations or modifications made after delivery.
How to Claim:
• Notify MBD immediately upon discovering an issue.
• Provide clear photographs/videos for assessment.
• If approved, MBD will repair or replace the affected part at its discretion.
